VACANCY | WOMEN'S HEAD COACH

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Head Coach of the Bradford Bulls RLFC Women’s team.
Position: Head Coach, Bradford Bulls Women's Team
Location: Bradford, United Kingdom
Purpose of Role: To lead the planning, preparation and coaching of the Bradford Bulls Women’s playing squad.
Reporting to: Heads of Women's Rugby and when appropriate, the club’s CEO
Principal Duties
- Provide a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for staff and players
- Deliver structured and planned training sessions
- Development of individuals and team
- Develop game plans and communicate effectively to staff and squad members
- Provide positive and constructive feedback and post-game analysis to players
- Player recruitment and retention
- Ensure compliance with club, league, and governing body policies and procedures.
- Ensure all players and staff are aware of their responsibilities as representatives of Bradford Bulls and that they adhere to the code of conduct, standards and behaviours associated to their roles
- Be prepared to undergo Continual Professional Development (CPD) activities and courses
- Maintain a strong presence at all training sessions, matches (home and away), and team-related activities.
- To identify programmes to add to the overall pathway
- To develop and implement a Talent Identification Strategy
Ideal knowledge, experience, qualifications and specialist skills:
- Experience as a coach, possessing minimum UKCC Level 2 Coaching Rugby League qualification
- Experience of leading and preparing all aspects of moulding a team
- Excellent understanding of the demands of Rugby League
- A strong, assertive leader with the ability to build and develop teams, fostering a team first mentality
- An ability to identify, construct and implement individual and team improvement plans
- Proven experience in building and overseeing a professional culture with the highest of standards and appropriate behaviour
- The ability to be a self-starter
- Excellent communication skills in all forms
- Ability to conduct effective match and individual player analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching and multidisciplinary team
- A passion for developing athletes and promoting women’s sport.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Currently RFL DBS checked or willing to undertake before appointment (essential)
- Safeguarding and Protecting Children Qualified, or willing to undertake prior to appointment (essential)
- Mental Health Aware (essential)
